Reports are streaming out of Italy of a possible deal for Palermo striker Edison Cavani, with Palermo negotiators flying into London today.

OK, they're flying in to talk to Rangers about Mark Bresciano (who, by the way, appears to be not coming to the Hammers, unless they're about to do some MASSIVE secret swoop).

But Viola News in Italy has said the Palermoans are heading over, and may be willing to chat about a possible move for Cavani as well.

Happy chappy?

Recent reports that the player is happy at the club and he isn't moving may appear to have changed in the last week, as the bosses there have said he will have to prove himself to play in the side.

In a very rough translation, they have said he's a bit too shy, and needs to come out of himself more on the pitch.

That bodes well for the Hammers, although would the English Premier League be the right place for such a striker?

Figures of €12 million have been mooted for a possible transfer to Genoa (who have also been mentioned) so, as ever, we'll wait and see.

By the way, I had a great game in last night's five a side. Wes had a shocker... you should NEVER miss a penalty when 3-2 up.
