Hammers Capture Lansbury While Bentley Could Be Next

Following the sale of Scott Parker to Tottenham Hotspur this afternoon West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce has moved quickly to add Arsenal midfielder Henri Lansbury to his squad. Lansbury joind the Hammers on a season-long loan from London rivals Arsenal.

Lansbury has rarely been part of Arsene Wenger's plans, spending last season on loan at Norwich city. However he did feature as a substitute in last Sunday's 8-2 defeat by Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Before tonight's deadline Allardyce could add more players to his squad and re-establish contact with Spurs as David Bentley could be the next name in.
