Today is the day that all football fans dread, but West Ham supporters might be pleased about a certain report regarding a piece of transfer speculation involving their club.

According to inside Futbol.com, Turkish club Trabzonspor along with Scottish giants Celtic are interested in hammers defender Herita Ilunga.

Trabzonspor have contacted the East London outfit about signing the Congolese player but it is also understood by the same source that Celtic might prepare a late bid for the player.

Although Ilunga was injured in last Wednesday's Carling Cup defeat to Aldershot Town, in his pre-match interview before Sunday's game against Nottingham Forest Sam Allardyce might have made the injury sound a lot worse than it looked, perhaps that was code speak for the fact that the club were trying to move him on, but that did seem to drum up some interest before tonight's deadline.

Trabzonspor are looking to involve Ilunga in their Champions League campaign after they look set to take Fenerbahce's place in the competition after they were thrown out because of a match fixing scandal.
