
After reporting earlier that Sky Sports News had claimed that West Ham United were set to sign former Fulham and Portsmouth midfielder Papa Bouba Diop, it has been confirmed by the club's official website that the player has signed a one-year deal with the option for a further year. Bouba Diop could make his debut for the Hammers in the home game against his former club Portsmouth on Saturday week.
