After being relegated with West Ham United last season, and endless speculation throughout the summer that Scott Parker will leave Upton Park with Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Aston Villa all interested, it seems that Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has finally got his man.

Yes, the news that Hammers' fans were all fearing could be about to come true. Sam Allardyce confirmed in his pre-match press conference today, ahead of Sunday's match against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground that the North London club have opened talks over the potential transfer.

 Of course it's what happens before 11pm on Wednesday that matters but it seems as if Parker would get his ideal move back to the Barclays Premier League and be able to further enhance his England chances.

If the midfielder does move, Allardyce said the move would allow him to pursue other transfer targets.
