Kris Commons is today being linked with a move to Rangers after his agent touted the player to both half's of the Old Firm.

The 27 year old is out of contract this summer and looks set to snub a new deal at current club Derby County despite boss Nigel Clough being desperate for Commons to stay.

Mailsport claim the Mansfield born player's favoured destination is Ibrox Park and discussions have been held with his representative.

The 7 times capped Scotland star can play either wing or through the middle and has netted an impressive 14 times in all competitions this season including a first international goal in the 3-0 victory over the Faroe Islands back in November.

Commons, who previously played for Nottingham Forest and Stoke City, is widely regarded as one of the best players in the English Championship although with the current financial situation at Ibrox the deal is far from certain to be completed.
