I know it's difficult but its about time they started asking some difficult questions

Who's been cutting the grass? Its blőřdy marvellous how nice they've made it look.

I demand they ask the questions we need answering.

Questions like why do you sign loan players and leave them on the bench ,why do you constantly tinker with the team ,why are you laughing when we’ve just lost ,why did you say Curtis couldn’t play down the middle at the start of the season yet now we’re short of strikers you say he can ,That’s just a few questions

You're joking aint ya? All the local 'journos' are sucking off Catlin and co.

I've not read one piece in the last 18 months about the strength of dislike for Jackett from the huge majority.

A total shambles and not worth a bolt, the lot of them.

Actually I think the local media have started to become more critical of goings on at the club but in a subtle way. They don’t really have much choice given the current totally unacceptable situation and the fact that there’s too much talk which is rarely matched by actions. Readers and listeners are not going to be taken as fools by constant positive reporting at the present time.

That's not true about Neil Allen. The News and other journos are a waste of space but Allen has been highly critical of the lack of summer recruitment and slayed KJ's team performances at the start of the season. I can't imagine him holding back in his report for this match

Has one of them asked the owners if it's actually true he's only there because it's too expensive to sack him? Seems an obvious question.

Neil Allen has come out today and told it like it is. No soft soaping he’s gone for the jugular. Well done to him. Maybe this will cause a few ripples on the becalmed Fratton Park hierarchy. Something has to give or, surely not, we’re going to continue plodding along as at present.
By the way Kent in my original post I did refer to “listeners” as well as “readers”!

The best thing about this season is the commentary as AM and a Guy take the pi** out of players, tactics etc.

Thanks for sharing the link, Neil Allens' report is well written and certainly sums up my feelings about the rudderless hulk that is PFC today.

Just look at Neil's individual player ratings. Once again they don't match the overall tone of his report.

Neil Allen thinks we'll be in the playoffs again? Not if we go on like this.

But they don’t ask the management the awkward questions face to face ,it’s easy writing columns and saying things during commentary but direct questions need to be asked of jackett ,Catlin and the owners .

I hope the Eisners have seen Neil Allen's report "No Reasons to be Cheerful" because here is an unemotional, unbiased, balanced opinion of where we are at. By reading it they will understand and appreciate the frustration the fans are feeling whether they want to do anything about it is I'm afraid another matter. I can understand the need for consolation in these uncertain times, but as businessmen they should be laying their plans for the future. Which we are agreed means replacing Jacket

Bit harsh on the News IMO .. they did ask the awkward question face to face and were told the club had rejected his resignation because it would cost 400k to sack the manager and they did not want to be seen spending money they hadn't got when bailouts were being discussed.

If a bailout happens I reckon Jackett will be on the way out within weeks, unless form has turned round dramatically by then.

If someone resigns, you dont pay up the rest of their contract.

You can offer to walk and do a deal on your contract ... more like offering to be sacked I suppose. Mutual consent is what they then call it.

But I'm only repeating what was reported.

Well if that’s true then he’ll be gone soon because no way is our form going to improve
