Itís all very well saying.....

ďWe asked a lot of questionsĒ of Oxford which appeared to be good so far as KJ was concerned. The problem was that we didnít find the answer Pompey needed i.e. how to put the ball into the back of the Oxford net. It certainly isnít going to be any easier finding the answer at the Kassam. Pompey are going to have to put on one of their rare ĎWowí performances to get a win on Monday. Can they? Will they. Who knows. Time will tell. Personally Iím relying on the law of averages that says they have to win a play off game eventually!

I just hope we donít go out with a whimper.

We should go for it, if we fail so be it. Losing by being negative is absolutely the worst thing we could do.

We should also put Pitman on the bench so at least we have a plan B if we need to score late on.

Bearing in mind this is a must win situation, what does Jackett have to lose ffs?

If "We asked a lot of questions" and he is happy with that then he is just confirming he is content to play uninspiring, boring football. We had 2 shots on target. I don't know about others but 2 shots on target does not translate to "We asked a lot of questions" to me. I've had enough of his spin doctoring. The game was, for the most part, a boring affair that offered very little entertainment. His brand of hoofball to a lone striker is painful to watch. If he thinks "We asked a lot of questions" then I would counter that they had enough answers to get the result they were after.

Yes, I wouldnít be surprised to see him on the bench as heís a reliable penalty taker. Same goes for Evans. Very good chance it will go to pens. Kenny wonít want to go aggressive and get a goal. The players will be too knackered and uninspired to serve up much, either.

Lee Brown and Bryn Morris both claim that Pompeyís squad depth will make a difference tomorrow. Not sure about that. You can have the largest squad in the league but, to state the obvious, it has no impact whatsoever if you donít score goals. So squad size apart which of the two squads has the player(s) who will make the vital difference in the oppositions penalty area?

Surely he'll go for it tomorrow, 90mins with a final @ stake.

For the last quarter he should have shoved Hawkins up front with Marquis playing off him. From corners they were petrified of Burg and Raggettino and got away with several good penalty claims for man handling them. In open play they would have found it hard to get away with teh same tactics on big Ollie.

Yep Muschi [^] Biggest edge we had on them was the physical difference, so wouldnít be at all surprised to see Hawkins involved tomorrow.

They will go for it - they have to, and theyíll remember Sunderland. Whether itís enough or not is a different question

The 2 games had exactly the same dire format.

We scored after dominating chances for 25 mins

Then concede a dreadful goal.

Make bad subs

Revert to hoofball more and more

lose all composure

performance has by now got to a terrible scrappy standard.

Hanging on for the whistle with inept subs

negative play and results in a poor game and draw.

= terrible management

Not only should be resign but I would also suggest give up the profession. He's football's equivalent of the step haircut

Corporal, itís funny you should mention the step haircut. Due to some dubious lockdown home hairdressing, such a phenomenon has occurred at the back of my head.

Itíll be gone on Thursday!
