ST refund options

Just received an email from the club about the refund options, but it does not say how much money is being refunded ?

Does anyone know ? Seems bizarre to make an offer like this without saying how much you would be donating or receiving.

I have a Lifetime Season Ticket and Iím wondering where I stand. There is nothing on my page which provides any guidance on a way forward.
I hope the club doesnít discriminate against the only true fans of the club in this time of austerity.

Thanks Hilsea ... but you have to go all the way through to the end of the process to find out how much is involved.

And Syrup, you're probably tongue in cheek, but if you assume the average LT ST is for 25 years, so say 550 games, you should get 4/550 back ? After admin costs you would probably owe them money.

Biggest regret of my life is not buying a LT ST, but I just couldn't quite afford the risk at the time, and I'm the first to defend honouring them every time the subject arises so wind your neck in.

Pretty sure it's been said before that Wembley/the fa are currently sitting on that money and not the club. I might be wrong though. So assuming they will wait and see if the game can eventually be played with fans (which won't happen) before sorting a refund.

The cup game will be lower league Charity Shield type curtain raiser prior to fans being allowed to attend EFL matches in person. Hopefully this will be just before our first match in the Championship.

But if we were to win the playoffs, we could then sign a better quality player and then face a league two side to win a competition championship sides are not allowed in? I see no way that game can go ahead with fans there anytime soon so see no real point of it happening.

Donated mine too.

I bought a season ticket and didnít expect to get the money back.

The club would have honoured their commitment if they could, so they can keep it to, in a small way, lessen the financial hit.

XXXXXX website is broken - you click the link to Donate to Club/Credit to Account and it comes up with "Choose Recipient" and a list of people in your network you buy tickets for.

Absolute shambles. We have the former CEO of Disney as owner, this is NOT GOOD ENOUGH

When you click that, it farks up completely like this.

The only options are "search your network" and "search outside of your network".

This is the screen for buying tickets for cups and aways on behalf of other ST holders so you can enter their client ID.

It is not the intended page for giving your choice for unspent ST credit.

It is broken. Maybe not previously, but it certainly is now. Fan engagement under the Eisners should be second to none, Eisner senior made his name doing it FFS so for this to be cack is very frustrating.

For me, when I clicked on the button you show in 'first stage' I got a box showing a list of people in my network plus two more options other than my contacts, one of which was 'donate to club' and another was 'credit my account', but they were listed just like the people I'm linked with.

Note sure why you got a list of people the first time, but now get no-one in your list. That is odd.

Worked dead easy after you picked one of them.

Spoke to the club today, they are inundated with complaints about the eticketing website.

Apparently they are having to XXXXXXise the tool their end to collect our consents by creating two "fake" Accounts:

Membership Number: 146391
Surname: Credit To Account

Membership Number: 146392
Surname: Donate To Club

To to make your selection, you have to add the one you want to your account as a member of your network, as it if was a person.

Then you can do it.

To be fair it isn't operated and written by coders sitting in Fratton Park. It's a 3rd party application commonly used by many clubs.

Secondly that system was never designed or written to do the things being asked of it. It was built to sell tickets, not partially refund them.

I managed to do it first time but it did look a bit odd. I can understand why people get confused.

Unless you're Deep blue and you are conspicuously the only person to have two separate working buttons when everyone else has a single, broken one and a set of hurried instructions from the club to collect consent in a convoluted way.

If only we were as lucky as him.

There was XXXXXX all need to use eticketing to collect consents, we have just been through GDPR FFS that she scheme is about the notion that you can give a choice and then revoke it. There may not be a polished system to do what we are trying to do here but why the XXXXXX couldn't we just have "refund" as the default and opt in for something else? Then they could have dealt with it by telephone and email, no XXXXXXing about, no problem

Corporal, no need for that.

I was merely reporting how it worked for me, and as I nearly missed the two options on my list of network contacts it seemed likely that others would have that problem and miss them so I was trying to be helpful. Thousands had managed to make the system work in the days before I managed. It certainly was not intuitive to see the two options you were looking for as 'dummy' entries on a list of people when you would have expected buttons to select - but it did work for me and for many others.
