I see Mourinho and the scummer are complaining about too many games and saying the FA Cup should scrap replays.
Since the league cup started in 1960 all clubs have had 3 domestic football competitions inEngland so why is it all of a sudden too much for these precious players?
If they’re going to scrap anything they should scrap the league cup because nobody has ever really been into that competition unless you get to the semi final which really upsets stubs.
If you scrap all replays you’re taking potential big money away from the smaller clubs so if they must save these poor fragile players they should keep the replays until at least the 5th round so smaller clubs have a good chance of that big payday (most are gone by then anyway) and scrap the league cup. I’d rather they didn’t do anything but if they have to do something I reckon that would be the best way to go.
It might also get a bit more enthusiasm back for the FA Cup again if it’s the only cup competition for everyone.
Fvckin foreigners and the premiership ruining our game.

All Premiership FA Cup game on Saturday - Burnley v Norwich - attracted 8,071 fans.
Premierised fans don’t seem interested, possibly because season ticket holders have to pay.
Even Pompey’s attendance was 5000 down on normal.
Maybe let season ticket holders have their seat for half price?

What do they want FFS! ... Not like they are even playing much of a contact sport these days in the top flight.
FFS ...I will switch jobs with them if all that moneys too much for teh poor dears
I might I be crap at football (and would probbaly stop for aciggy every 10 minutes) but they would probably be crap at my job [:D]

Its all a "Far cry from small boys in the park, jumpers for goalposts. Rush goalie. Two at the back, three in the middle, four up front, one's gone home for his tea"

You need to be a bit more sympathetic, some of these poor dabs were literally "mentally and physically out on their feet"

I reckon teams should be given the choice of whether they'd like a replay if their match ends in a draw. Both teams have to agree to no replay beforehand and if one side wants a replay then that's that. Maybe lower league sides could be compensated by bigger clubs if the game ends in a draw and the bigger team didn't want a replay.

I'd imagine that both pompey and barnsley would have preferred not to have a replay had we ended up drawing so could have decided against one (again should it have finished as a draw).

Agree with B&B replays are part of English Culture, every minow dreams of drawing a giant and hoping to take them back home for a money spinning replay. Money that often keeps a minow in business.

Save our culture!

According to Koop, Shrewsbury will be playing Liverpool’s reserve team kids again.
So, not so big an attraction after fighting for a draw.
Maybe a smaller gate than last night?
TV money might swing it favourably.

They should go back to having the replay during the following week.
The police caused the delay of a week and that adds to the congestion, and the police should surely be able to react to any public order requirement in less than 10 days.

There aren't too many games, there's too much track and field.

Running around becoming a peek athlete to disguise a lack of footballing ability does not equate to an excuse for playing less matches.

You would never have had this XXXXXX 25 years ago

As has been said replays for the smaller clubs can be the difference between staying afloat and going out of business they should never be allowed to take that away.
Bunch of fvckin poofters.

Make the whiny coonts play replays until they drop. No pens allowed. [:D]

If they could get it sorted ...

"It took 66 days to complete the third round of the FA Cup in 1962/63. The chaos, hardship and forlorn hopes that afflicted British football in the coldest winter since 1740 are captured in the stamp on the cover of Sheffield United’s third-round tie against Bolton Wanderers, due to take place on January 5 1963, which read: “After many postponements due to unprecedented winter conditions, match finally played 20th February 1963, kick-off 7.15pm (or so we thought until one hour beforehand!) AT LAST! 6th March 1963, kick-off 7.15pm.”

That heartfelt, triumphant 'AT LAST!' was very nearly the final word on the longest round in the cup’s history. The third round suffered 261 postponements (Lincoln City vs Coventry City was called off 15 times) as 15-foot snowdrifts, gale force winds, freezing fog, three months of frost, and temperatures sinking as low as -20.6C, made it nigh-on impossible to play football. A round that started on January 5 – when just three matches were played – finally staggered to a conclusion when Middlesbrough beat Blackburn Rovers 3-1 at Ayresome Park on March 11.

During this round, the FA became so alarmed by the freeze’s financial repercussions – Blackpool, for example, didn’t play a home game between December 15 and March 2 – it offered clubs interest-free loans."

If the big boys are unhappy with the amount of games they play then they should bug UEFA to revert the Champions League back to it's original format when it was the European Cup, doing away with the group stage and making it straight knockout again.

Reading this thread makes me wonder you all follow football. You seem to loathe and detest the very people who play the game for your entertainment. Not one good word to say for any of them.
