Brandon to Bristol rovers
According to 'some' reports?
With the lad out of contract in the summer this is agent dark arts no doubt.
Certainly Brandon is a player I'd like to stay.
Rovers can have Lee brown back as far as I'm concerned. He is a steady Eddie but when up against a modicum od skill in an opponent, flatters to deceive and is exposed by pace.
I don't for one moment think Brandon looks at Bristol rovers as progression, far from it. But unless he nails down a place then a step back or two to move forward is logical.
Rovers fans won't like it but they are definitely now a step back or two from our level no matter what the results between us this season.
If pompey offer Brandon a contract he will sign, if not then rovers will be one of a few teams who'd like him

If he has to go to further his career I suppose he has to go for it especially if he has almost guaranteed place. However if we are going to build and promote our own from academy as per Eisner's speech (think that was the gist)then surely he has to be given contract now that is in keeping with his potential or will continue our academy purely as a cash cow or they become our back up players

He's 23 so not a younsterr anymore -at a point where he needs to kick on with his career
He's not getting much of a chance at the moment and needs game time.

How about a new one year contract to run from the summer, with pompey holding the option of a one year extension?
Then send him on loan to the Gasheads.
It sounds likke he would get a regular run of games there.
Will be able to see then if he can fulfill that early promise, playing at a decent level

If we sign Seddon then we would have to let either Brown or Haunstrup go. But I'm with Prozac here, looking to the future it should be Brown.

Dark arts I agree but with a twist maybe? This rumour has surfaced at the same time we have been calling for Seddon to sign on a perm deal. If that's not achievable then maybe float a less palatable turn of events? Wouldnt be surprised if the rumour came from within Pompey

Deep, but brown would probably be more happy knowing he is understudy to someone at his age. Haunstrup will no way stay here unless he is guaranteed first team football. Which for me isn't going to happen as I don't think he's good enough.

I don't think Brown will ever be happy to be understudy to anyone

I can't see that either of them would be 'happy' to be an understudy, just that it would be better for the club if Haunstrup stayed of the two.

All hypothetical of course because there is nothing to suggest that Birmingham would consider letting Seddon go permanently.
