Not sure whether to believe him..

"With just over a week until the transfer market closes, Portsmouth manager Kenny Jackett has said that he does not anticipate seeing any more activity this January.

The Pompey boss told BBC Solent’s Andew Moon on Thursday afternoon that it has been “quiet on the transfer front.”

Moon also stated that Jackett said he would be “surprised” if there is any more activity this month, which also applies to potential departures."

I would be very surprised if we do not make any more signings especially as we without doubt are desperate for a decent centre half. If we don’t that will tell
You all you need to know about the present ambition of the Eisners in getting promotion.

ME due at Fratton next week for meeting with Jackett & Cattlin so we'll see what his true ambition is. 4th Spot with another win is within our grasp but can we take it?

the squad is plenty big enough unless someone unexpected becomes available, probably as part of one in one out

totally agree, our squad is big enough now. Probably why they are might be looking to move pitman out to free up some wages.

Bluebob you ralk absolute bollix mate. For l1 status our squad is very capable of getting promotion... So why spunk money where its not needed. If we fail to get promoted it won't be the owners fault... The blame will lie squarely on KJ. Let me also remind you the Eisner's told us we eat what we kill and Catlin has recently said if a player becomes available that improves the starting XL then there us room in the budget to bring him in. I love the way the club is being run and I voted against the owners taking over.

So Gooders you think that KJ is happy to go to the end of the season with 3 centre halves Burg Jack and Raggett, Downing is not considered to be good enough Jack who I believe is probably the best or one of the best centre halves in Div 1 has just come back from a serious injury Ragget in my opinion is not good enough so you honestly believe KJ is happy with that ? I would think that he is banging on Catlins door every day for the club to get one in. If what you think is right then yes KJ will be at fault and with many of his weird decisions I would not disagree with you.

We need a CB and a rt back, Bolton is very average.I know McCrorie,Evans and Haunstrup(?) can play there but we need players to play in their primary positions not make do's.

There will no doubt be deadline day deals happen. Sure there was a couple unexpected ones last year. Can still see pitman leaving, more so now he hasn't featured in the past few squads. Still wonder if we will step up interest in cavare from Barnsley unless KJ thinks Bolton is starting to perform well enough in that position. Big squad is going to be needed with games every Saturday and every Tuesday near enough for the next two months.
