So a potential semi or final against Salford. Assuming the semi finals are on TV again as they were last year. Not sure I could handle the sky/Salford love in if we had to play them!

Its gonna happen. Im sure well be kept apart in the semis. And I can see the story now... all the gushing northern pundits on how the Manchester United old boys have risen Salford to the top.

Have to agree. I'm guessing this will be rigged to attempt to make a Pompey-Salford final for the storyline. Exeter will certainly have a say in stopping that. They will be a proper challenge. A team used to winning this season would be tough to beat.

Exeter are in almost exactly the same position as bury were at the semi final stage last season. Guess it's nice to be in a position where we are the ones who the others want to avoid.

I'd like a Pompey v baby Leicester final

I do think Leicester making the final is what is needed to really show the affect they are having on the competition. With any luck leicester will also be playing a league game the same day and they would struggle to sell 500 tickets for the final. That would be a real kick in the teeth for the fa/efl given the success of last seasons final.

Leicester Proper are playing the day before, away to Everton. I wonder if they'd rest Vardy so he could play as the overage player in the final. Probably not.

The TV fixtures haven't yet been decided which is why it says its the day before. Given they'll be in the top 4 and fighting for 2nd (as the league will be done and dusted by then) I expect it will be televised. Obviously could be the Saturday still but a chance it could be the Sunday. Not that it would make too much of a difference I wouldn't have thought. Fans ain't going to go away to Everton on the Saturday then fork out on a trip to Wembley to watch their under 21s the following day I wouldn't have thought.

Lets hope for a Salford Leics U21 final.

A less than half-full Wembley will show what a disaster this competition has become.

I think a lot of United supporters will jump on the Salford band wagon if they get through.

The way United are playing they might be better off watching Salford

Would united fans really be that bothered if Salford made Wembley? They'd get huge home attendances whenever united weren't playing if that was the case. Surely that's only the same as if bury/rochdale/Oldham made Wembley. Just can't see them being that bothered myself.
