Rested more like it as well as McG.

Both teams have put out very strong line ups but Not sure why Pitman isn't starting.

I thought that Pompey would put out a 2nd X1 as surely the league is more important unless they've already given up promotion?

Jackett said he'd dropped McG because of form. Bass did better at Gills than McG at MK so it's a one way move. It'd be unfair on Bass to take him out now having done nothing wrong.
McG will play Tues and he'll then have to wait patiently for a chance to get the gloves back.

its actually one of the things i have liked about Kenny. He has seemed prepared to drop just about anyone if he feels they are not at their very best. The flip side of that is we have seen some of our very best players dropped and hacked off for long periods.

Bass hasn't been tested yet.Until he pulls of saves similar to those made by McG I firmly believe McG is head and shoulders a better keeper.

Bass has made 3 or 4 excellent saves in the last two games and several more in the Cup games he played. He has also caught absolutely everything. MacG often tends to punch or palm things down rather than catch and has also been found out on a few occasions when he should have come out. Having said that he's been excellent in general since he broke into the team. We are lucky to have two good keepers to choose from. I don't think it's a bad idea to let Bass have some games, to give him experience and keep MacG on his toes.
