Brandon Haunstrup

If the papers are to be believed, we could be braced for some bids for Brandon over the coming weeks. His contract expires in the Summer, so wont get much for him. This will be a test of the Eisners ambition and could display a complete lack thereof if they decide to cash in.

I'd rather keep him than Curtis actually. Offer him a new contract. Sadly the clubs looking at him can probably outbid us on wages while they are in the champ. especially if they have parachute payments.

If the Eisners/jackett and allow him to go I'll lose all faith in what they say in the future about Youth progression and the future of this club. I'd rather sell Brown. Haunstrup has bags of ability and with the right coaching could be a fantastic defender/wing back for pompey.

Haunstrup with the right mentoring will make the Prem. I honestly thought I'd never say that, I had written him off a few seasons ago so I'm very glad to eat my words.

Id be amazed if he left. Hes a Pompey lad and just beginning to break through into the 1st team.

It would be a monumental fck up to mismanage the situation into a scenario where he left. Cant see it happening.

My mate who I stand next to at Fratton went to school with him and was in the academy with him for a short time. Apparently he was bit of a tool. In reality however he was just miles better than my mate and it took him years to get over that.

Totally Agree Big Smoke a test of the Club's resolve to keep a young promising player coming back from injury.

Unless, we are offered silly money for him from a Big Championship side they need to turn it down.

Again, the maxim was to grow the club organically developing our own home grown talent.

That goes out the window if he sell our own ex academy players.

We'll not get offered silly money as he's out of contract in the summer. He might get offered some cash and want a new challenge given the length of time he waited around for a run in the team. Why we didnt offer him a new deal, is beyond me! Could be another Edna Stevens situation

The brother of a mate of mine who works in a pub says that bloke came in saying he knows someone who sister's aunt has a neighbour who met someone on holiday whose boss saw someone matching the description of Haunstrup at Fratton Park and he didn't look happy.
Or was it Brown?
