Another full strength team on Tuesday, then complain that we're knackered in the play-offs[B)]

Apart from the final he's always played kids or bit part players in that comp. Interesting to see what he does on Tues.

He certainly put out a full strength side yesterday against non- league opposition and did the same against Harrogate. It's a question of priorities. Do we really want promotion or not?

I'm sure he would have played plenty of reserves yesterday if we did not have the game to come on Tuesday when he will need them.

To criticise him for playing a full strength side on Tuesday when he obviously wont because he never has in that tournament before the semis is pretty desperate and totally ridiculous.

Of course it's not ridiculous, when we were said to be 'running on empty' when it came to last season's play-offs.

To predict he will play a full team on Tuesday is plainly completely and utterly ridiculous. What possible reason do you have to suggest that he will ?

No normal reason other than he’s Kenny Jackett

I don't think anyone will start on Tuesday who will then start against Peterborough barring any late injuries or someone scoring 6 goals against Northampton. Even then cannon could do just that and still spend 90mins sat on the bench watching close and walkes get nowhere near the opposition midfield.

Are Northampton complaining they had to play their FA CUP match today and then Tuesday they are away to us. So we have no excuses to not win.

Leeds, take a look fitness, passion and decent tactics something that KJ will never give us.

Anyone who thinks our demise in the promotion stakes last year was down to our first team's two game run in the Checkatrade are seriously deluded or are looking for something else to blame on Jackett. We were so worn out we won the four games following the final. We all know the real reasons ,key injuries (NON Checkatrade related) and the loan recall.
We will see a revamped team tonight with all the 'out of favour' players getting valuable competitive game time which will only help our cause not hinder it.

[V] Lossing 1-0 at present & playing the usual 4-2-3-1. Dreadful looking defence with Pitman at No 9 on his own upfront which he hates & Evans at No.10 Pitman's best position. Square pegs in the usual round holes. A noting game I know but a chance to play another formation with 2 upfront. Very frustrating KJ won't change his tactics help!

Our back 4 look awful. Constantly out of position and hoofing it straight back to the opposition. No composure or ability.

I know we can offload Raggett in Jan but it’s a depressing thought that we’re stuck with Bolton & Downing ‘til 2022

We can safely say Jacket has messed up big time with his signings Bolton, Raggett, Downing, Morris, Cannon, McCrorie, Marquis, Walkes have all proved to be disasters. How many more poor signings does he have to make before he gets the big E, little wonder we are struggling?

The positives were that after our 2nd goal the game was over and we ran out the clock comfortably.

Harness scored a great volley and glad for Maloney to get on the scoresheet. Bass didn’t have too much to do but was alert when he needed to be.

However, we don’t want any of those 4 starting in defense anywhere near the 1st XI for league games. We’d have been 3-0 down by HT if that had been Peterborough.

I take your point regarding Cannon it's been such a long time since I saw him play but in my opinion he is very energetic seems to be everywhere but all his efforts all seem to amount to nothing. Whether this is because he hasn't played regularly but would he improve the team and bring more creativity I doubt it.

"Bolton, Raggett, Downing, Morris, Cannon, McCrorie, Marquis, Walkes" are all disasters.

This is extreme bedwetting or a fishing attempt surely?

-Marquis has scored 5 goals and is putting a shift in every game, we can't measure him vs. his Doncaster form as he's playing another role
-Raggett hasn't put a foot wrong since the Coventry debacle, in fact, has been very solid
-Cannon has looked very good when he has played
-Downing and McCrorie haven't played well
-Morris is a disaster possibly
-We know what we get with Walkes, but he is certainly not a disaster

Sorry but I am being realistic any one can see it for themselves if you take the blue specs off, these players have not performed to the standard expected of them. They have let us down and Jacket has tried to make up for their inadequacies by putting square pegs in round holes. All you have to do is ask yourself this question in hindsight would you have brought these players in to your team?

If anything the way KJ has used the players has seemed odd at times, but individually, player by player, they certainly haven't all been disasters.

6 straight wins, 9 undefeated.

A defence which is useless yet still one of the tightest in this division.

Sop, are you Deepblue in disguise? You honestly don't think that Walkes hasn't been useless since joining? He might have had 1 or 2 decent games since joining but that's it, for the price we paid we should expect more from Marquis but Jackett is partly at fault there. We don't really know what Cannon can do cos he's never allowed to play in the league, the same with Morris and Raggett isn't good enough for a team that wants promotion.

Not sure it's luck winning all these games but the football hasn't been of the standard we thought it should be.
I don't enjoy our play generally but if he keeps on winning that will be forgotten until we get humped again by a team on half our budget.

I don't think Walkes has been useless, he coasts by in games but doesn't make glaring errors.
McCrorie and Downing have been poor and I'd regret signing them if I was Jackett.

Every few months this board has its boo-boys. Burgess, Close and Curtis have all been in the firing line and now they are respected. People might as well just get on and support the team, who are clearly putting a shift in, irrespective of the system they are told to go out and play. All Pompey fans aren't we?

So players don't have to be good as long as they put in a shift? We've been in good form lately but have played well in only a couple. You may think players like Walkes are good enough but that just shows you're a Jackett lover.

I'm not a Jackett lover or hater to be honest.

Just support the team otherwise regardless, what is the point in being a fan if your only supporting them when they are playing well and yeah, if someone is putting a shift in then I'll support them and respect them as a player. We don't have a divine right to be top of the league just because we are one of the bigger teams.

I support the team but I can also see when a player or manager isn't good enough. We don't have a divine right to be top but it's where we should be aiming, also like most fans the football has been awful (although you'll probably say it's been decent).

Only Downing and McCrorie have been XXXXXXe (in my opinion) whereas Harness and Williams have improved the team and most likely put pressure on Curtis to find his form again.

Marquis is playing the number 10 and scored 5 goals, Harrison does what he does well and chips in with a few goals.
Bolton has been ok, he's just deemed XXXXXX for not being Nathan T, Raggett had a mare against Cov but has been fine since.

People are quick to slate players without really giving any evidence as to why they are XXXXXX.

1:5 is a rubbish return for any striker let alone one that cost over £2m. Marquis is the new Smith.

Nobody is questioning Harrison, Williams or Harness they are above average but to answer your point that we critisise without evidence the evidence is plain to see. Even Jacket has seen it for himself and will not play a lot of these players unless he really needs to.

Well Cannon and Morris can't get in the first team in League games, that tells you a lot seeing our current midfield is poor, Walkes has done nothing apart from run around a bit. I did say there were a few exceptions but Jackett's record in the transfer market with us hasn't been good.

Having said that, the level of football knowledge displayed on here isn’t the best, so maybe not surprising. 😁

Smith is at Rotherham and is becoming a bit of a cult-hero. He cemented that status the other night, coming on as sub to equalise on 90 minutes and then grabbed the winner in injury time!

Reminds me a bit of Jayden Stockley - never quite made it at Pompey, but following moves to Aberdeen and Exeter is now a regular in the Championship with promotion chasing Preston.
