What to do with him? No confidence in front of goal and totally lost in midfield. When is KJ going to try Cannon? He did buy him as a midfielder and our midfield is currently awful.

Close did score a cracker though. If Harness took one of his chances we probably would have comfortably seen out the game.

Time to give him a break from the pressure IMO because he seems to be getting worse game by game. The way he is playing he is our third best no 9 behind Harrison & Hawkins and our third best no.10 behind Pitman & Evans. At top form he should be first choice for either.

He needs to learn that his big fee means nothing now and does not guarantee him a place in the team.

I don't think he should have started after Tuesday's display, he need's to get his mojo back, he looks totally disinterested on the pitch and needs to improve his attitude.

He'd started to look better after a dismal start to the season. Now seems to have reverted to type, running about quite a lot but not really doing anything to warrant his large fee. In fact he's just scored five close range tap-ins so far (in 24 appearances) that I could have scored. Pitman more effective this season with 4 in far fewer matches and he's come off the bench several times . Perhaps give Marquis some bench time to maybe recover his appetite.

Yes I would pull Marquis and bench him ASAP. Brett is doing what he should do. If you can find his interview on YouTube Portsmouth. He laid out exactly why he did not like playing for Portsmouth and when I listened to it I thought, yeh mate you have a point.

However now it has gone to far and he has to look at his performance and he is a dead weight right now. So take a stroll make, train train and train, get some hunger and come back and deliver like you can sir!!
