They deserved a draw or better and we were very very lucky, or you could say we had Brett Pitman which is the same thing.

My son and I were at the game and was surprised by the low turn out but I pointed out that when we lost to Wycombe second round Nov 2016 the turn out was about the same. But we were not surprised by Curtis and Marquis being thown off.

So once again Pompey poor performance but another victory and that is how you kick your way onwards and upwards.

This is one of those rare occasions when I felt sorry for the opposition, they deserved at least a replay.

Fortunately we have our own fat bustard in Pitman to rescue us. It was hilarious when the FE chanted ‘you fat bustard’ when he scored. You wouldn’t want anyone else on the end of that chance.

They weren't directing that chant at pitman?!

Aimed at their keeper for the time wasting and whatever just before surely?

He made a cracking save from haunstrup that very nearly didn't get given as a corner too!

They aimed it at the keeper earlier but it was definitely aimed at Pitman when he scored, in an affectionate way of course. 😁

Weren’t there then? 😎

I was there (unfortunately [:D]) and its never been sung at pitman ever before from our fans. Surely we wouldn't sing it at one of our own players. It had to be at their keeper, there were even a few fingers being pointed his way too!

Well all the people round me were singing it at Pitman. He has got a sense of humour after all.

Nice touch that Pitman went to console their keeper at the end, two FBs together 😁.

Can't we just praise the plucky underdogs and breathe a sigh of relief that we managed to avoid a banana skin?

Pompey had more possession, and far more shots, and shots on target. Altrincham is just a nice part of Manchester, and that is the only thing lucky about them, cos the weather there is shiiite

Noticed Pitman telling the crowd to be quiet after he scored. Who was that aimed at? The crowd for calling him fatty? Altincham for thinking they'd nicked a replay? Never liked that business of telling punters to shut up. Perhaps it was at KJ for not picking him more often.

Perfectly obvious it was aimed at Ronan's mother after that tweet, sitting in the stands admiring her beloved son . I can remember a little spat between them last season when Brett, as captain, had the temerity to have ago at Curtis after one of his selfish moments.
