But decided to see if we are really that bad.
Wtf are you lot moaning about?????
Cracking game against very good opponents. Could claim that that was a makeshift Pompey side too.

Just like the doomster Climate Activists, they hide under a stone when the sun comes out.
Cowes flat in IOW is quickly emptying as they head for the ferry back to Scum.
It was a great game against an in-form team who were and still are 4th in the table.
We should have scored 5, whilst they had to make do with a free-kick and a penalty.
Top 10 team now, and win the game in hand and we’re up to 5th.

First time at the Park this season. 6 mins late in as stuck in London til 5 then in the traffic of the M27. Defending not so good in the first half and their equalizer for 1-1 was tame. We got better after that and it was a pretty enjoyable game.

Not exactly firing on all cylinders yet but a good result against good physical opposition.

Best game at FP this season IMO. Tonight proved a few things though.

On the plus side,Hawkins is our best defender, we attack well and defend luckily, we can score goals, Harrison will get us goals and is probably the best 'header' of the ball we've had in a while ( MOTM IMO), we have 3 good wingers.

On the downside, we are very dodgy in defence and midfield ( worse than last season by far), Close and Walkes are not the answer to anything.Although he scored I thought Close and walkes were poor and over run ( not their fault they're just not good enough and in the wrong positions).

If Kenny can get us 2 decent central midfielders ( I don't think we need a number 10) and 2 decent defenders in January then i think we've got a very good chance of making it, especially as we're gaining confidence and grinding out results and we're a weaker side than last season.

Well done Pompey 3 points 3 goals and only 2 points of the play-offs and we got entertainment [^]

Thoroughly entertaining. Good work from Harrison and Curtis. Decent central defence but hopeless right back and midfield which presumably is why we bypassed it. Marquis? Worst header ever. My granny could have scored that one and she’s been dead 40 years!!!

Cracking result but we are still playing one goal lead then putting everybody on the goal line and desperately hanging on till the end. And he still fails to see his bench capable of changing the game in anyway during this time. On another night, both failings should've resulted in Rotherham getting a late equaliser.

I didn't see us pulling men back. In fact I thought we showed good positivity right to the end.
Rotherham are a very good side and their attacking play is very impressive. We did well against a side that could well be worthy of automatic promotion.

Big change is Harrison. Won 90% of balls in the air and has vision. Should of been MOTM in my eyes

Not knocking Harrison, he had a decent game.

However, to say that Harrison ‘won 90% of the balls in the air’ might have been true in some parallel universe, but not at FP last night. Are you his agent or something? 😁

It was a good game to watch last night and the result was in the balance right up to the last minute. The referee was absolute rubbish but that’s nothing new in this division.

We are still not strong enough in the middle of the park, hopefully something that can be remedied in January, but things are looking much brighter.

He certainly won more than he lost and was up against a couple of giants.

He was indeed up against giants, which is why he didn’t win 90% of the high balls.

Winning more than you lose, which is debatable anyway, is not ‘winning 90%’ is it?

He won a good few and put himself about against a very big team.

As I say, I’m not knocking him, merely disputing an exaggerated claim.

I didn't watch last night, very pleased with the result of course. Glad to see it's only taken Jackett 20 odd games to realise that Harrison and Marquis up top is a good combination.

It's also quite amazing that all of his summer defensive acquirements don't make the first team. Nice one Kenny.

For the mathematical genius.I stand corrected Harrison did not win 90% of balls in the air it was 88%.

Just seen the highlights on iFollow after watching the match last night. Last night it seemed to me really refreshing to see one of our strikers winning loads of headers and on the highlights I counted he won 2 out of the 4 shown, one leading directly to our second goal and the other very nearly giving Close a goal. Noted that the commentator can't have followed us much lately as he twice mentioned Hawkins, ´back helping the defence`. He was playing centre back ffs. I suppose cos he had number 9 on his back.

Well if the highlights are representative of the match, not a given, that would be 50% then [:D].
