And a couple of our players had pretty good games but overall another very uninspiring performance. Rochdale were poor today, they had more possession (which is no surprise) but couldn't do anything with it and were also poor in defence.

3-0 away from home.
Maybe Strictly will cheer people up.

I said it was a good result, it's just a shame we can't play entertaining football, that would cheer people up.

Good result. Ruthlessly efficient. Exactly what good teams do! Good to see us stringing some results together and working up the table.

There is a but though isn't there.

reminds me of our promotion season, Prozak said to me just before the incredible last dash to the title, "For the first time I can see what Cooke is trying to do.."

63% possession by Rochdale - means nothing if it's largely aimlessly passing across the back four in your own half.

Our defence is rubbish - yet only 3 teams have conceded less goals this season...

Another clean sheet, one defeat in 11 games all in a very disjointed season when we lose continuity,

Time to get real I think.

link may cheer some up

All that is true and we are winning, however the 'football' is very poor. If KJ only had belief in his players to play an attacking game as opposed to playing not to get beat, then it would almost be perfect

There are lots of ways to dissect our results so far. They have marginally improved; performances have improved a fair bit. However, one reason why Im not quite ready to hang out the bunting is our record against teams above us is awful, meaning were just not as good as those teams:

Teams above: 4 points Played 6 W0 D4 L2
Teams below: 20 points Played 10 W6 D2 L2

We'll find out by Christmas if theres anything in it.

I wonder if KJ is slowly changing his spots just like the leopard did? 2-0 up with 15 minutes left. Time for a change. Take off a forward (Harrison) and replace him with a defender? But NO. Brings on Pitman who then proceeds to set up Williams for the third goal. Let's give the old boy a bit of credit here!

No lets not, if anything he's just buckling under pressure and it will be business as usual after a few wins against the relegation teams.

I remember that sui. Everytime we passed the ball and moved we cut teams to pieces but all to often reverted to running with the ball and losing the momentum by doing so as teams just funnelled back into shape.
Kenny has reduced that passing ethos to dust and now relies on wingers to run with the ball at pace. Exciting? Well yes if it happened often enough and we had some semblance of control. If our league was made up of 'rochdales' we may have a chance. Sadly, they're not and we don't.
His tactic still turn fans off, kill the terraces of singing and leave us looking distinctly 2nd rate.
Even in winning 3-0 I read on Rochdale site that none of the posters really rated us and they are in free fall. Southend were the same.
Even though we have lost 1 in 11 I'm still frankly bored of our football and want Kenny gone.
Sorry but I'd rather watch cookie's version of football in league 2 than this sh1t in league 1.
Am I alone?

Re atmosphere, Rick sat in a different part of the ground for the Oxford game (usually in the Fratton End).

Was surprised how quiet the Fratton End sounded, maybe it was the wind, but Oxford fans would be entitled to wonder what all the fuss is about re our atmosphere.
