What exactly does he add to this team? He can't win a header, doesn't control the ball well and gave away about 5 fouls. Raggett excellent by the way.

Just listening to Talk Sport he was putting himself about a bit but playing in the No 10 role which isn't his position marking one of their midfielders. He should have been in a two up top. KJ bad tactics again. We needed to win today & have just dropped 2 points at home.

if both pitman and marquis look poor there has to be something wrong with the team behind them. Both of them are most definitely
proven goalscorers at this level.

Marquis is a good player and proven scorer at this level but like most strikers doesn't suit Jackett's tactic.

My enormous impression is because he scored 61 goals in 134 apps for his last club.

He was dropped - because if you keep playing a striker who isn't scoring - he will lose his confidence. As soon as he scores a couple of quick goals - he will probably score a hatful. He certainly isn't all of a sudden a bad striker - he is just slightly out of form - and needs to fit into a new system being put into place by a new manager.

If Hawkins was fit - he would now be playing/ coming on - and Marquis would have scored a few more already IMO.

EDIT - put this on the wrong thread - muppet

If the only time he receives the ball is when his back is to goal he isnít going to score many. He makes the runs and never receives the ball so has to double back and drop deep to get involved. One central creative midfielder would turn this current side into a very good team.

We defo need more in midfield. We need a greative midfielder. KJ has XXXXXXed up big time with his signings. For that alone he should be sacked.

Any credibility KJ had left disappeared when he put Marquis in midfield. As for his record here well our midfield pair of Naylor And the god awful Close is the problem.
