Starting line-up:

Bass; Walkes, Downing (c), Haunstrup, Hancott; Cannon, Rew; Williams, Flint, Maloney; Lethbridge

Haunstrup playing centre back, apparently.

Bass playing a blinder apparently. More saves than the RNLI.

Worth noting a very strong oxford side against a youthful PFC side, [^][LOVE]

It means Pompey get a home-tie in the next round.

I keep forgetting that no-one here is interested until the final! [rle]

Oxford played their first team pretty much and brought seniors on as well.
How have they been on the run they have?
Bass was amazing and pulled off at least 3 top saves as well as pushing a pen onto the bar.
Pompey seemed to cede midfield yet again but effectively defended the box breaking when they could. Evans should've scored when put through by cannon.
Lethbridge took his goal well and maloney certainly looks a bright prospect. Young Flint played well too.
I still don't like the style we are playing but Kenny seems to have his luck back
About 200+ pompey fans made the journey. Now the drive home.

At least we know that the future is looking good . We’ve got some really good youngsters on the fringes of the first team

Yup it was Keystone cops and totla league 1 and league 2, no class. Heck but what do we expect we are rightly stuck in league 1.

A good omen when we come up against Salford or whoever in the final is that Oxford who should have taken us on pens completely blew it

so 2.75 wins out of 3 could be worse.

Finally Bass was as good as his namesake in a pint pot
