What I can't understand is why if the opposing home team play in red we can't use our normal home strip.

Watching a re-run of Match of the Day on Sunday morning I saw that Liverpool normal red and Incester in their normal blue, BirdXXXXXX in their blue stripes - Tottenhamscum in their White Shirts & Dark Blue Shorts.

Apparently it's all to do with the colour of the socks. They can't be the same colour for both teams, this is to help the lino with decision making for corners, offside etc.

So why can't we wear red socks if they wear white socks or grey socks if they wear red socks - not hard is it?

That full grey kit that blends in with the background is only going to get worse on a grey winter day !!!

Think I read somewhere (probably on here) that partial kit changes aren't allowed any more. So, say, we couldn't play in all blue.

FFS the efl must have more important things to worry about than colour of friggin socks.

This kit colour cobblers is really one of my bugbears, there's generally no need for these waanky bland third kits.
Is this sock colour ruling actually for real?

It's always been the rules that shirts, shorts and socks must all be different colours ... nothing new there.

But if they've really said you can't just mix and match to avoid a clash then that is new, but I've never seen that stated anywhere. The push for third kits, and playing in any away kit when not needed, is all about selling the kits, nothing else.
