Are you referring to how we beat Brum’s kids a couple of months ago? Bolton look far the better team and should have scored a couple

Seems like getting a load of newbies to gell is simple.

I'm in Sicily and only getting BBC coverage. It reads really badly.
KJ really has his work cut out.
I don't think we play nearly good enough in style, it's so yesteryear and something I associate with really ugly sides.
Surely we should be playing a better style at least.
Anyone take Paul Cook now?

At least PC changed things & listened to criticism. No chance of that with KJ will persevere with his own boring brand of football until removed which looks unlikely this season now.

You can accuse him of lots of things, but not changing things is not one of them. We played 442 today, at least the
fourth formation he has tried. The problem is he is changing too much too often trying to get a winning formula, when what he needs to do is play a settled team.

That was never a 442 today. It was the same as it was every other week. How often were the wide men alongside the central midfield two. How often were pitman and marquis alongside each other.

442? Maybe, but didn't look like a442 when going forward.

Jackett doesn't change his formation often, he changes the players (apart from Curtis) too often. We played his defensive 4411 today.

It was defintiely 442 ... Pitman spent the whole match up front alongside Marquis, so much so that he kept getting offside. IMO it was one of the reasons we looked so terribly disjointed, it's not a formation that the players are used to playing and we missed Pitman's presence deeper.

Wasn't 442.. marquis just swapped roles with pitman for the second half

Did he play 442 or was it just Pitman not getting involved in the press from the ten role?

Whatever formation you play you have to have the intent and we haven't, at times Bolton had four attackers while we look as if we've got none. Marquis was every where today, the only place he wasn't in that much was the box playing most of the game as a winger. Our attack is always isolated with no strength in numbers unless its a corner and that's down to our Manager who hasn't got an attacking gene in his body let alone bone.

It started 4-4-2 until about 35 minutes in when Pitman dropped back to pick up their deepest midfielder who was running the show.

By that point they could have been 2-0 up at least, and I think we had mustered one tame Curtis shot on target.

Difficult to say how good Bolton looked, because i'm not sure that we're much good, but they certainly looked better than us for 45 minutes.

We have problems.

At the end of the day, it's FU*CKING BOLTON. Four teams have put more than 5 past them. They do have a few good players (Buckley, Hobbs, the goalie)but starting from scratch they have little chance of staying up. Kenny should do the walk of shame out of Fratton it's a f*cking disgrace. Our tight ar*ed owners need to pay him off and get someone else in now.
