I think most London Branch members will be at the game. However, they have been known to frequent The Freemasons near Covent Garden.

If l hear anything else I'll let you know.

I'm a member.

I think I'm right in saying it's where the FA was formed.

No dodgy handshakes required but it is close to the Freemason's HQ.

The Freemasons' Arms is not the same Freemasons as where the FA first formed in 1863 although they share a name and are/ were both in Holborn. The FA pub is no longer and was on a different street I believe. I couldn't understand why there wasn't a blue plaque saying this is where the rules of association football were first agreed/ published etc so looked into it and found it's because it's not where the FA met. [DFS]

Edit: saying that, the Freemason's Arms website is claiming to be where FA met. I found it was The Freemasons' Tavern in Great Queen Street where FA met.

Yeah
Freemasons' Arms website makes the claim about the FA
But It was definately the Freemasons Tavern on Great Queen Street.

Doesnt really need to make the claim.
Nice boozer as it is.

Also, Wwas it really built built during the reign of Queen Victoria ?
"The first license granted to the building was in 1704 and was known as the Bull's Head until 1778. As Victoria's reign began, now called the Freemasons Arms, the Geological Society was founded here also in 1807."

Thought it would be an even better sell to punters if a opub is older.

Btw. that took all of 5 minutes research in work [:D]
