Very enjoyable on Match of the Day last night.
Ashley Barnes must be one of the most under rated players in the prem.

Just read this on the UI. It's hilarious. 190 mill on players that for the most part, other clubs don't want. I think their old goalie is on 90k a week[cr]. it seems like we have become the prudent, sensible, development club, and they have now become the wasteful, badly planned disaster club. Role reversal?

'It looks like it's safe to assume that nobody's going anywhere now'

"The true cost of the 'fishy' dealings will be for the following unwanted or unused players:
Jannik Vestergaard wages + fee £27,360,000
Jack Stephens wages £7,020,000
Wesley Hoedt wages + fee £25,360,000
Mohamed Elyounoussi wages + fee £31,600,000
Mario Lemina wages + fee £30,480,000
Sofiane Boufal wages + fee £30,480,000
Guido Carrillo wages + fee £34,640,000
Fraser Forster wages + fee £31,840,000

Total in 'fishy' dealings £190m plus.

No wonder we're in trouble. No point in getting on players backs now. Gao needs to put £100m in to solve the problem NOT player selection or training. What Premiership manager has ever been asked to use the same squad for the entire length of his contract, it's ludicrous.

Mistakes have to be paid for. Gao's mistake was to buy the club after the terrible trio (Kat/Kruger/Reed) had been let loose whilst the deal was being delayed and went crazy. The players listed have to have their values written down, get moved on, and be replaced by premiership quality players. A normal business would get a loan to get the business on track especially when they're guaranteed very large regular income.

Gao didn't cause the problem but he is the only one who can get us out of the s**t now".

Grumpy, So it sounds like that you are going to have to pay that goalie who possibly never even makes your bench - around another 15-20 million. Have you got any idea how funny that is?

Well, he can't kick the ball, he can't save a ball, he always dives to late, and now he's probably third or fourth choice. Surely you didn't pay more than 2.5 million for him?

As much as I loathe them. In fairness, from the end of the second one world war up until Rupert Lowe turned up, they were one of the best run clubs, financially, in the league. Lowe and co did the same number on them that Gaydamac did to us. They nearly went out of business before we hit the rocks and do not look to be in a better situation now. Would I ever want them to go bust and disappear? No chance, life is extremely dull without something to hate [:D]

No I dont want them to go bust. I want them to XXXXXX suffer forever and become THE most underachieving side in Britain, currently held by Newcastle.

I remember that ex Scottish footballer who said of the world cup "Can you imagine a world cup without Scotland?" to which a smart English journalist replied "yes, it's just like after any first round". The scummers do remind me of Scotland, ie like to participate - but never actually achieve anything.

What a well club you aren't, so you still have to pay him 5 million this year, and he probably has been sitting on your bench (or not) over the last 3 years picking up 90k a week.

Shocking, but very funny stuff.

Just looked it up, he's on 70k a week, what a bargain he has been.

I'm glad you feel the need to make sure we get the figures right on this forum. 31 million pounds for a guy with hardly any sell on value must be tough. Why don't you lend him to a div 2 club and save yourself 4k a week, meaning you only need to pay him 66k a week for doing nothing[cr]

Carry on copying and pasting.Perhaps they could even make a new 'Carry On' film about it.[cr]

It's great that you're only throwing away 70k a week on this ONE player, rather than 90k a week. It just goes to show that your club isn't being run as badly as we thought. I still think a loan to a div 2 or national league side would be a good idea.

Just re-checked this player Grumpy. He's on 70k for another 3 years[cr], that's another 11 million for a player who will probably never play for your club again. [cr][cr][cr]

Are any of your other players this bad?

Scumptyville used to be such a well run club.. What happened?
