Seems ready to step into the breach! 34 years old.. still been playing. Maybe a good short term cover?

I can't see how we can do the rest of the season without someone like that coming in. But not expecting any response from the club until a deal is done.

Was he ever a natural centre back? Although I'd take him on a short term contract until the end of the season surely there's a worry he would take too long to get up to match speed? He's not played competitive football for nearly a year!

Surely would be welcomed back by all fans though, always had good things to say about the club since leaving.

And his long throws would be a bonus.

Agree Dawn, surely the guy is a free agent for a reason? hasn't played since last season and not much then?

Yes Dawn it is, his agent has been in touch with KJ. He's fit but needs to get match fit and has/was been training with WBA. A good short term signing if true as we'll deffo need someone if we're still serious about promotion.

being immediately fit might not be a huge problem as he would be cover not first choice. Looking wider, I guess Kenny might try and pick up a youngster released early from a big club, not sure if thta is allowed under all the rules?

He's been replying to teenage boys on Twitter about his agent getting in touch with KJ, is that not a bit too desperate. Why hasn't any club in L1 or L2 come in for him if he can still do a job?

Anyone tweeted Adrian Whitbread or Guy Butters they might be up for a last payday as well!

Would this be an emergency loan? Possibly not a bad idea. Our CB's are all youngsters.

People are having a laugh aren't they. The guy's finished and wants a last payday. He'll take ages to get fit and if no setbacks match fit. He is not the same 27 year old who played for us years ago. Despite not liking Burgess I think he'd still be better than someone who's past it but has a high opinion of himself. I'd rather get a good non-league central defender than someone no one wants. Anyway I doubt Kenny has even entertained the idea. It's the News putting 2 & 7 together and making 8.

If he can get match fit fairly quickly I wouldn't say no, but tweeting about trying to get a deal does stink of desperation.

Gulf. You can still sign free agents outside the window. As long as they weren't registered with a club when the window itself closed.

Please Kenny don't even consider it.The guy was absolute carp when he was here before. Had the urgency of a snail. There's a good reason he's currently without a club. Me, I'd rather go with Casey.

Halford is too old now, unfortunately.

Having said that, anyone who thought he was crap when he was here last, either didnít go to games, or knows feck all about football (or both).
