I am hearing we are likely to go with a back 3 Saturday... can't see the need for a system change, despite injuries.. If so, who is the team?? Burgess joining Whatmough and Clarke, although apparently Jackett was impressed with Walkes at right wing back.... so maybe Nathan Thompson into the back 3??

It was Clarke Burgess & Walkes who played in the back 3 on Tuesday so it may be that Jack makes way. He was at fault (not solely) for both goals last week so it is a possibility he may be dropped.

Bit harsh to blame jack at all for the second - it was Thompson man who lost his man. And as for the first, sometimes you just have to applaud the opponent - if Jack had predicted that move and covered it he could easily have stepped the other way and made him look silly.

So to be clear, when we only have two defenders, Jack - who's been excellent all season - gets in the side, but when we add an additional defender we drop him in place of Burgess - who's been a liability all season - and a 5'9 right back?

How could any defender really be at fault when a league one player chests the ball, flicks it over his own head and smashes in a volley??

Agree it is harsh on Jack but Jackett has raised the levels & demands on his players this season. Would also be harsh on Thompson who I also think has been very decent so far.

Pedals, contrary to The News match report Walkes played in the middle of a flat back 4 with Burgess in the first half Tuesday. When the change was made to a back 3 he moved to right wing back. Naylor made up the back 3 with Burgess and Clarke. Walkes and Haunstrup were the wing backs. Snooze's reporter must have been at a different game.

Wonder if there’s a bit of mind games going on too then.... I’ve got no idea what team’s going to be played on sat ![]() If we’re having a back 3 you’d think it would be Whatmough, Burgess & Clarke...

Wouldn't mind seeing Evans at wing back, to be fair. If it is three at the back and wing backs, who are the attacking 5 players? Pitman, Lowe, Hawkins, Taylor and Close/Evans? Seems like we're missing a fair bit of pace, if so.

Evans is a complete waste of a place out wide,he hasn’t got the pace and is seriously dreadful at crossing the ball. I can’t understand why he would put Lowe on the left and Evans wide right when he could play Haunstrup or Donohue on their natural side.
