Ben Thompson has to start instead of Close or perhaps Naylor. We really need his urgency and he can see a pass, which the other two can't. In fact Evans was pretty woeful today too. Still, we had umpteen corners and shots but it just wasn't our day. PUP

No way should you think about dropping Naylor. His passing isn't the best I agree but fundamental to our start. Close on the other hand is just too safe a player to be starting home games.

Agreed that Thompson looked great today, but in other games we have bought Close on to retain possession, horses for courses perhaps. If Naylor continues to pass as badly as that then he must come under pressure from Walkes at some stage. And for goodness sake, make Lowe stay on the wing.

agree to the point that we cant drop Naylor. I think Close is a good player to have away to retain possession etc but Thompson better at home to see the killer pass we need when teams aren't as open

14 set play corners no goals says it all. Get the takers and the players down the aqua park and practive practice taking a corner that someone can stick in the goal FFS embarassing
