Experimental361 has some interesting scatter graphics. Iím rubbish with links. If someone would like to post them, crack on.
They back up what a lot of posters here have been saying.
We donít seem to stand out on to many fronts, Barnsley are the stand out team and yet they are outside the play offs.
Itís points that count but looking at the graphics does seem a bit bemusing.

Itís not rubbish, itís been proven out by his graphs usually looking near identical to the league table for a few seasons now. The season we went up we were a long way ahead in most of the graphs well before we actually looked like weíd get automatic.

The graphs heís put so far make us look one of the most solid teams, itís pretty encouraging. Definitely expect Barnsley to pick up though

It's a really good site for analysis. The only one of the scatter graphs that matters is the expected goals one. It usually correlates better to performance over a season than the League table, at this point. Barnsley are way ahead, but that suggests they're not putting away good chances to score.

We're looking like we expect to score 1.75 goals each game, and concede 1.2. that sounds about right, but includes some real defensive mistakes, and also that we've taken our foot off the gas a lot.

Based on the figures, we're doing better than Peterborough and Sunderland, which bodes well. Peterborough in particular look like they're conceding a lot of chances and being saved by clinical finishing from their strikers.

Link: Link, probably broken

Number of points gained: 27, position in league: 1st.

That's the only statistic that matters.

The only one that counts is after the last game has been played. However, for those that are interested it will be a good gauge as to where we will end up. Maybe after another 11 games it will be clearer.
