The performance of the new signings

Kenny promised us thoroughbreds but it appears after today's game that we potentially may have 2 donkeys! Heard great things about Brown, but today he looked enthusiastic but talentless and Naylor's passing was shocking. To be fair it's still early days and they'll be given a chance to prove the doubters wrong.

On the other hand MacGillivray looks head, shoulders and half a body above McGhee or any other keeper in the league on today's performance. I think Curtis could be the signing of the season, he was here, there and every f*ckin where today, still raw but clearly a talent.

can't disagree with any of that. We certainly have added muscle but possibly in between the ears too. Not sure what was up with Walkes today but he will have to step up about 3 gears to keep a place in midfield.

So we sign two players that played at their previous clubs all last season and both were loved by fans and keen to have them kept on. But they are now donkeys after one below par performance [?] Didn't hear anyone moaning about them in the friendlies. Let's give them a few games before knocking them ay. No one really stood out today and we still won!

I think Brown should be better with a proper left winger in front of him. We couldn't get any attacks going down our left flank, which really handicapped us.

Naylor had a poor game, however we really weren't set up well in midfield. He was a lot better against Utrecht, so I'm hopeful he can do better. He misplaced a few basic passes, though, and that mix up with Lowe that nearly led to their goal was absolutely rookie. Maybe the occasion got to him?

The keeper looks good and we were defensively excellent.

Walkes was absolutely shocking and the problem today was the midfield, we need someone to pull the strings. We didnít pass the ball well and ball retention was almost non existent, we just kept giving away possession.

Still, we will get better and we beat a very good side, thatíll do for a start. [:D]

Keeper fine, did what was asked of him. Curtis promising. Left-back really awful as were Naylor and Walkes.

Can't agree about Naylor. Thought he read the game very well and it was clear that he didn't have a partnership with Walkes. I think he will be a good signing and will add some much needed muscle in central midfield.

Jim i have to disagree with you there on Naylor's reading of the game, he got done time and time again when the Luton players let the ball run across them, Naylor committed himself every time leaving himself the wrong side, his passing was woeful and instead of dragging the team up the pitch as he should have as captain, he watched as we dropped deeper and deeper. Early days and a decent 3 points considering our performance, wouldn't mind Rickie Holmes coming in on the left hand side, he appears to be available from Shef Utd.

Oh no not Ricky Holmes, Sonny Bradley et al, get rid and move on to new talent that is not tainted.

Interesting how we view the game differently.
I thought he added some much needed bite in midfield that we didn't have last season. He was constantly berating Walkes and I think if he gets a good partner he will be an excellent addition to the team. However very early days
