are we still looking to sign a ‘pacy’ player for the final third of the pitch?

Do you think the majority of fans are going to be happy with a transfer window without a penny really being spent?! Doesn't bother me how much is spent as long as the right players are brought in but can't see a lot of fans being happy considering how many complaints there were in January.

Didn't Curtis have a transfer fee?

People only whinged in January because we didn't get players in that we needed from August, not the amount we spent.

We have a £3M-ish budget but that includes wages/signing on fees etc. Just because we get a freebee doesn't mean it doesn't deduct from our transfer budget.

If only we'd spent more money on Paul Merson

GoT ..On Merson..Probably something to do with the bizarro world of release clauses -everything else does at the moment it seems[:D]

In terms of transfers, theres a rumour linking Pompey with Peterboros Anthony Grant...
Probably Barry Fry striing up as much interest as possible

Now he would command a fee
Would that be enough to make the whingers moist in their knickers?
Or does it have to be a championship level Messi to get them panting [:D]

Some of our fans are just so retarded - anything is possible. Quite a few wanted to get rid of Cook - and some just because he was too emotional.

Anyone fancy having a go at answering my original post which had nothing to do with fees!

Going back to the original question it will depend if Curtis and Dennis are better than Naismith and Ronan. C&D are both youn so would expect them to be pacy. Evans an Lowe have some gas so hopefully we’ll be able to break quickly and put it on a plate for Pitman.

Most important will be how Naylor builds a partnership with whoever he is paired with. He’s the most importantt signing for me.

We look a lot stronger on paper than last year.
