Graham Carey

All this talk of Graham Carey being one of the best players in the league. Looked like Jamal Lowe was head and shoulders above him yesterday. Unbelievable young talent.

Yes, Plymouth fans said what a good player we have in Jamal.

Jamal is the best player in the league and has the potential to get much better. Maybe hang on to him for another year then cash in if we are not in the championship?

Not a chance we will have him next season. He is the diamond in the rough all Championship sides seek.

For me Jamal Lowe is the biggest piece of evidence of what a good manager Jackett is.

He persevered with Lowe when he hit poor periods of form, despite much criticism, but he could see the potential and knows how to develop players into better players, and at Lowe's age that means giving him regular games to gain experience. Close is a similar story, and I suspect we will see the benefits of that next season.

Paul Cook deserves credit too for bringing him in from the non-league.

He's bags of potential but i think he's a way off the finished article. I think even if we dont go up this season lowe will still be a Pompey player next year. Its the perfect place for a young up and coming player to develop. A manager that plays youngsters. Decent training facilities for the level. Championship standard attendances. Plus wih the finacial clout of the Eisners we should be able to match whatever wage offer is received for one of our younger stars. Unless its ridiculous.

I can't see us cashing in on Jamal unleash a silly offer comes in and I'm not sure that he's done enough for that as yet.
We won't want to lose either him or Clarke if we aspire to greater things. Kenny will have an entire close season to get the players he wants to add and ship out those he doesn't.
Next year we will have to go up (if we don't this year)
to keep hold of either of them but I believe they'll both give it a go I hope.

Lowe is probably a confidence player. If he moves too big too soon, he could easily fade onto a bench and reserve squad quickly. Totally agree that both Cook and Jackett have treated him just about right.

Shame Kabamba hasn't been given the same opportunity. As when he has played as in that FLC he has done very well.
