Shouldn't surprise us anymore. He obviously has some kind of chip on his shoulder regarding pompey (unless he's like it every game I don't know). He said similar things after the home game when they were awful and barely got near our box. Even the plymouth fans questioned his words after that game.

Saying we were defensive and not trying to win today, we had 10 shots with 4 on target compared to their 6 with 1 on target. We had one cleared of the line and hit the bar around the 90 minute mark. That's not a team sitting back playing for a 0-0. He's such a muppet.

Can't see how they think we were defensive. took off defensive midfielder - O'Keefe- and brought on attacking one - Ronan. He felt they were there for the taking and it very nearly paid off as Ronan created one or two good chances. There should deffo have been a pen for the rugby tackle on Naismith although they should probably have had one first half for a Donohue tackle. So unlucky at the end with Jamal's shot cleared off the line and then hitting the bar. Clarke had another stormer except for getting caught upfield on one of his mazy runs which nearly cost us. Good game all round, sets up Tuesday nicely with others losing.

Plymouth 6 shots total 1 on target.

Pompey 10 shots total 4 on target.

Yet that horrid XXXXXX reckons we were lucky and that we never created XXXXXX all.

Third rate Scottish manager managing in the XXXXXX end of nowhere near anything or anyone of relevance.

Seems week in week out he shows it to the press [:D]

Can't stand Plymouth even though I used to watch them when they were alright back in the 80s.
But their fans are and have been always over shadowed by our own.
Bunch of outdated mullet haircuts with XXXXXX accents! 😀

He was a coont at Ross county and he's a coont at Plymouth. This probably makes him a coont the length of the country.

Their forum makes for funny reading prozac. Alot of their own fans saying pompey were the louder of both sets of supporters yesterday. Their excuse: Ryan Taylor being injured and not starting.

They really are a bunch of freaks, and Adams is a prize cůnt.

I thought it was a tight game with both teams missing some key players.
Walking to the ground and having a pint with some Argyle fans was good laugh, they were decent fans today and showed they are a decent lot.I don't get all this gripe with them.
A good atmosphere and a good point that could've been all 3 at the end.

Amusing that they've cherry picked the comments that have us questioning if he shows such delusion every week.

We only have to listen to his fantasy twice per season. Those poor Janners have it every week.

As for their local rag. The veil is down now isn't it? blatently obvious that they are desperate to stoke a rivalry which doesn't exist to try and save their ailing readership.

Their fans aren't having any of it, our fans aren't interested in it. The only place it comes from is that paper.

Desperate stuff to quote from a football message board (obfuscated swearing included) to try and prop up a rivalry which they are trying to construct. Their fans aren't going to have that.

I'd be amazed if the editor was happy with Jak Ball using the newspaper as a platform to wind Plymouth fans up with by copying and pasting comments from us on here (which they probably agree with).

Tbf to pasoti their fans there detest the herald as a blot on their landscape.
We give our news the bullet but even they are somewhat more pfofessional than the rag in Plymouth by the sound of it.
I love the way they say Derek Adams has got under our skin(?)
Many times this season I've read pilgrim fans being completely baffled by Adams comments about games.
This is just another of those times. Under our skin? No, just talking nonsense and being called out about it.
He's obviously turned them around this season and how but I'd just wish he'd keep to the football facts. Kenny Jackett has more respect than he has ever had Or likely to have with comments like these.
Shame for Plymouth but at the end of the day, their problem, it's only ours twice in a regular season. I wonder what reception he'll get next season if we are in the same league?

What is funny and ironic on pasoti is the thread on Steve Evans about the posh game and how his team cheated and what a nasty character who winds the opposition up.
Turns out Carey dived and got his man sent off and lest they forget they've got Derek Adams. Faf

Little Derek Adams

Little Derek

The past couple of seasons, our Derek has had the biggest managerial seasons of his career. He is obviously a self publicist, and has used the biggest team in the league to bolster himself, his career and his team. The by-product of this has been the local rag running the story. What local rag these days isn’t struggling for money?

This territory comes naturally to our Derek. He is obviously used to struggling (in his mind)in battle against a bigger foe, so he has set his sights on Pompey. Being Scottish, and a small chap he understandably has a chip on his shoulder. If you look at his playing career, he only ever achieved any consistency with small clubs, and the only hint of big time – came at Aberdeen where he managed to play a paltry 20 games – and Aberdeen are hardly big time. Aberdeen are also his home-town club, so this must have frustrated him somewhat.

Small chap you say – Wikipedia says he’s 5;10” – he aint small. Well, maybe this really is the crux of the issue. Take a peak at the linked picture here, where he is talking in a mild mannered way with Wigan manager Paul Cook – who is stated at 5:11” from the same source. I have stood next to Paul Cook – and I would say that is correct. Therefore, looking at the picture, it’s clear that our Derek is around 5:8” or even less – which is quite small these days. So, it seems our Derek has added at least 2 inches, or possibly a bit more to his wikipedia page.

Why has he made up with Paul Cook? Maybe because now he is managing a smallish club, Derek now doesn’t see him as his natural enemy anymore – they have even kissed and made up according to the Herald.
Winning the league with Plymouth last year would have been bigger in Derek’s eyes than winning the Scottish First Division with Ross County, but alas Pompey deprived him of it, therefore in Derek’s eyes, we are still the enemy.

Poor little Derek; a short Scottish chap with big a chip on his shoulder who can only get a fire in his belly when he sees a bigger opponent than him.
