Ugly and dull as dishwater
According to their boss, fans are quiet as church mice compared with Pompey [:D]

Thats what a proper old school stadium like Fratton can bring to the party
No prawn sandwiches at Fratton -Micks Monster Burgers all the way

Says they would probbaly have to relocate for a while if they want to redevleop it
Cant see why cant they can't use wembley -thought all their fans were from Surrey anyway [xx(]

Aside from the all seating requirement, the issue, and the size of their stadium is down to the plastication of English football.

If the FA don't change some of their policies - the big plastic clubs will forever be expanding their stadiums - to fit in ever increasing numbers of plastic fans, and visiting tourists who just sit down in silence in the expectation of just another home win.

With a bit of luck they'll realise the easiest way for them to now expand capacity is safe standing and they'll throw their weight behind the campaign to get it introduced.

Yep, saw that. Usual unfounded rubbish reasons not to allow it. Shrewsbury Town will be an interesting one. I think they are still cracking on with their plans to put it in. Obviously not expecting to stay in the championship (if promoted) for any longer than 3 years then as they will need to rip it out put normal seats back in 3 years from now if they survive. I know Bristol City abandoned plans to have rail seating at Ashton Gate as they still wouldn’t be allowed to use the rail seats section with the seats down in place for the football.

And right now work is under way for Leeds Rhinos to redevelop their Headingley ground with this large full length section of traditional terracing.

So, what are the rules if a League 1 club put them in, and then get promoted?

As far as I'm aware it's the same 3 year grace period that clubs with terracing who get promoted to go all seater. Burton were in the process of making plans to comply with the rule and go all seater. They probably won't need to now though.

if a Scottish club has been allowed safe standing and an English one banned, there must be grounds for some sort of racist decision in that.

So the extended Bramall Lane capacity is going to be over 40,000, and some people think we should only aim for 25,000 ffs

Lopsided stadium No 4

Bridgeforth stadium, Virginia

Our previous architect must have loved images like this one. Wow - Did Mr Saunders design the Bramall Lane extension?

EDIT - At least Sheffield United will have two big stands ie Not just the one that was designed for us.
