A bit harsh but get where you're coming from. Character is certainly lacking. As for Burgess, he needs some competition to keep him focused. Saying get rid is imo a bit harsh.

Character...well KJ may be experienced but lacks character cannot inspire others and has a long contract.
Burgess signed a new contract seems to be at odds with Mcgee note body language a couple of times and sighs that not all is well between two of them

Ronan was one of the best players on the pitch today Cowes...

Close had a good 1st half needs someone more experienced with him.

I have defended Close this season but just lately he has been shocking he really needs to toughen up when tackling he rarely wins a one. I am trying to be positive but our football this season is well below to where I thought it would be. And it shows had bad this league is considering our form since Christmas we were only 4 points of the playoffs before today.
As someone else said roll on the end of the season and letís rebuild for the next.

"Ronan was one of the best players on the pitch today"...... you're having a giraffe Pedalo.

He's a pint pot who was constantly outmuscled and brushed off the ball by the Gillingham midfield ...If your are 5'6" you need to be like a Bobby Kellard or Akan Ball to make any impact. MoM was some kind of joke ffs.

Said this ages ago on another thread and was shouted off the thread.

I said we were "weak physically and mentally" and I'm even more convinced now.

We have definitely Wasted a season. if not worse as we appear to have gone backwards with the squad.

Thought Ronan looked ok but does not have a burst of pace or a bit of strength to let him get away from his marker. So his good touch beats the man initially but he inevitably gives them time to get back on him.

Yes Defo missing some character

No fighting spirit
Leaving at the first sign of trouble
No leadership
Expect everything to be easy
Too stupid to realise XXXXXX happens sometimes
Never carried the expectations of others on their shoulders

Sound familiar to some of you?

If anyone thinks that Ronan,Walkes or Deslandes are strong enough or good enough in this this league at this time know nothing about football and probably never will.
I wouldn't trust Walkes and Deslandes as a right back and left back in a Sunday league team at the moment in their careers.

Agree with Pedalo. Ronan has looked weak at times but was my Pompey MoM yesterday....the kid worked his proverbials off knicking it off Gillingham and rarely losing it.

The heads went down as soon as Gilligham equalised and it needed some experience and a commander out there.

As for Kenny Jacket, he's got more than one team out of this Division, has had bad luck with the injuries and wasn't supported in the window. Typical of American ownership, expect nothing from the Eisners.

Unlike others yesterday I stayed until the end and I said at the start of the season Iíd be happy to stay in the league . So youíre wrong I didnít expect things to be easy . But that doesnít mean I canít have an opinion on what I saw yesterday
