She's an insidious sychopant slimy dyed-in-the-wool Tory blue note.

Look at her record on theyworkforyou.com and take into account the way she stood idly by over the Dockyard.

Also totally got her facts wrong over Turkey during the Brexit campaign.

She is a wolf in sheeps clothing with her Royal Naval Reserve association. She hasn't turned up since getting a brief.

And the "support" for the PST amounted to one speech in parliament which was a bare faced attempt to win celebrity favour with her consistuents whilst voting BARE FACED against the interests of the population and local economy of Portsmouth.

She is a XXXXXXing snake with tits.

She needs a word with that mole on her chin as well. She should be charging that XXXXXX thing rent.

The only reason we've got a 'clusterXXXXXX', as you put it, is the delaying tactics of the 'we know better than you and can't stand losing' brigade. We should have triggered Article 50 the day after the referendum, we'd have it all done and dusted by now.

True democracy ex would have been a mature and well informed debate carried out at all levels of society followed by Parliament (the Sovereign body) making it's decision.
Instead, we had an ignorant and ill informed 'debate' made up of slogans and misinformation on both sides.
In the absence of true democracy I'm looking to parliament to fulfill it's function and represent everyone, including the 48% who voted remain.

WALOB Bluenote.

Your point might have substance if parliament actually offered 'mature debate', it does not. We have a load of chancers, loyal to party not people, with their own agendas telling the people they don't know what they want.

The 48% WERE represented in the debate and lost the referendum, that's all there is to it.

You've still got time to exercise 'freedom of movement' of course.

'A load of chancers loyal to party not people, with their own agendas....' And that didn't apply to those conducting the referendum? Come on.
Fact is the referendum was an undignified slanging match conducted through a bought media, delivering simplistic slogans only.
The idea that we should all bow with reverence before the outcome of such a farce would be laughable if it wasn't so tragic.
Referendums are a blunt, clumsy mechanism which shouldn't be used in a parliamentary democracy.

If anyone seriously thinks Parliament is capable of mature debate they have never watched the Parliament channel on the beeb.

This board reflects the elite.

As for brexit, there are many good reasons for leaving, if anyone believed either side of the unelected "official" campaigners then more fool them. Finance finance finance with both sides making as much sense as a steve cotteril interview.

Tomorrow we remember the people who gave us a free europe, a little financial hardship is rather easier to accept than the price those souls gave their lives to protect.

Sadly for you clowns you DID lose, and we ARE leaving, so you are the ones who'll be 'eating it' [:D].

As for 'being sold a pup', I wasn't sold anything. I didn't want to join the car crash that is the EU when it was just the common market, and have been waiting for the chance to get out ever since. My 'X' was in the 'get the feck out' box before any of the 'debate' on the subject.

If you love being ruled by a bunch of Europeans so much, why don't you feck off to France. You can then wave your little EU flags to your hearts content.

Morning Exgaffer, a couple of points. The law is not hard on this, referendums are not binding they are advisory unless the government brings a bill before parliament to make it so. The government can have a referendum every week if they chose and do not have to follow the result. At present it would appear they have not even ratified the result of the referendum as required to do so by the judgement in the supreme court.

Secondly, I hope you read the speach by Wilbur Ross at the CBI this week? On the strength of that I will be happy to take direction from Brussels. You can take your orders from Trump Putin... Erdogan and Modi.

Lets Take back control, selling it to the highest bidder behind closed doors in Washington, New Deli, Istanbul and tell the sheep it is in their interest and the 'will of the people' being enacted. What did Wibur Ross tell us?.... accept Americas sub standard food, ditch all the E.U. standards put America first, possible wait up to 10 years for a free trade deal which will favor America. [^]

This is what angers me about Brexit rhetoric. They wrap everything in this comfort blanket of splendid Little Britain, sailing off on it's own into the big wide world and setting everything to the sword like days of yore. Reality is we're either economically yoked to a Europe with at least some semblance of social justice and market restraint, or to a rabid US Corporate State that lays waste to anything which doesn't enhance it's bottom dollar line. I know what I'd prefer.

If the labour party - which by the way aint leftist even with corbyn in charge fail to win a few more seats, then it goes to show how the public have turned their back on mainstream politics.

Randy actually talks some sense here, unique in itself.

An alternative party was formed, it's presence forced the referendum, which lead to brexit. Due to the vagaries of our voting system it never got the representation it's share of the vote warranted so it lost it's way.

That does not alter the fact 3 million plus voters raised the middle finger to the establishment. Similar stories are occurring all over europe.

Just as an aside, I see that Dyson, the hugely successful entrpreneur, sees leaving the car crash as a 'great opportunity'.

He also thinks that the Europeans are taking the XXXXXX in the negotiations and that we should just 'walk away'. He is used to negotiating with them and says they will 'come back' as our market is so important to them.

I'd prefer to go with the views of someone who actually knows about business, and pays a load of dosh into the exchequer, rather than those of a bunch of lefties who would rather take it out.

I suppose you'll accuse him of not reading books too.

He also wants to remove 'all workers rights' to make it easier to fire people after Brexit.

This Billionaire also wants corporation tax to be “eliminated”. Poor devil thinks a tax on profits is the wrong way to tax people. Gods know why because in the next breath he said "Corporation tax is a very odd thing because there’s ways to get around paying it." Oh well, just another tax cheat then!!

If you think poor old Dyson was in tune with the Bexiteer point of view, you'd be wrong. This cheeky git not not only received EU grants for his company he relocated his operations to Malaysia.

Dyson, the domestic appliance maker, is on course to double its profits this year after its contentious decision to shift production of its bagless vacuum cleaners and 800 jobs to low-cost Malaysia.

I've just seen her and her fellow Labourites spending more time trying to get Boris to say 'I got it wrong', and therefore scoring a few cheap political points, than coming up with constructive ways of helping Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe get out of jail. Typical lefties.

Bearing in mind that the lady in question is British AND Iranian, and the Iranians don't recognise dual nationality, it's not clear what anyone could have done to get her out.

"She explained in detail how the corbinites would block the government if they didn't like the brexit deal but failed to explain how they would negotiate a better one."

It will take more than the Labour Party to do that. At least 40 rebel Torys all the Liberal Party and probably the DUP if the border issues aren't resolved.

You really should be aware of the reasons by now Muchi. Just in case though.

Theresa May made the catastrophic decision to trigger Article 50 before her ministers even really knew what they wanted out of Brexit, then wasted two months on her spectacularly misjudged vanity election, and even now the Tory bickering is still going on. Calling a referendum with no contingency plan for what to do if people voted for Brexit was bad enough, but setting the clock ticking on the exit process before they developed a coherent plan was even more reckless.

The fanatical hard-right faction of the Tory party are propagandising ever more loudly for a ruinous "no deal" flounce out of Europe, and they're continuing to drag their weak and directionless leader ever closer to the economic cliff edge.

Tories like Liam Fox are proposing reductions in UK consumer protections and product standards as part of a UK-US trade deal. Any such reductions would render access to the Single Market impossible because continued free trade between the UK and EU would create a gateway for US companies to sneak their inferior products into the European market.

The right-wing fringe of the Tory party that are dictating Theresa May's every move are desperate to ensure the most chaotic possible form of Brexit because they know that the ensuing economic disaster will provide rich pickings for their disaster capitalist mates, who will use the post-Brexit economic meltdown to grab £billions in British infrastructure and assets, like vultures stripping the meat off a corpse.

The Tories are also determined to use Brexit as an excuse to erode parliamentary sovereignty by shrouding the Brexit process in secrecy, and trying to give themselves the power to rewrite thousands of UK laws with no democratic scrutiny whatever.

Theresa May's behaviour makes it all too clear that she's powerless to stop the hard-right fanatics in her own party from using Brexit as a convenient Trojan horse to introduce the kinds of anti-worker policies millions of Brexit voters would abhor.

The more moderate centre-right 'One Nation' type Tories seem entirely unwilling/unable to oppose the anti-democratic Blue-kip takeover of their party.

Hard right Tories and billionaires like James Dyson are pushing ever harder to use Brexit as an opportunity to trash UK workers' rights and to turn Britain into a huge corporate tax haven with a 0% corporation tax rate.

Dyson has fcked off he not paying any tax (not that he did anyway) or creating wealth in this country. He's doing that in another country.

Not sure why you think nearly 13 million people who voted Labour don't work hard and create billionaires. Without them they'd be nothing. They deserve to be treated properly and paid a fair wage.

Corporate tax avoidance and evasion costs the UK taxpayer up to £120 billion a year.

"Why is it that the left consider themselves to be better educated and in some way intellectually superior?"

Great question. It probably has something to do with the numerous research studies from academics across the world that unanimously come to exactly that conclusion. It's so conclusive even your bible don't try and paint any other picture:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2095549/Right-wingers-intelligent-left-wingers-says-controversial-study--conservative-politics-lead-people-racist.html

Studies showing that low intelligence in childhood leads to prejudiced views in adulthood are also interesting, eh Norse and Muschi?

https://www.livescience.com/18132-intelligence-social-conservatism-racism.html

Then there's the scientific studies like this one showing that lower cognitive ability is directly relational to right-wing views. Don't you just love science?

https://www.researchgate.net/publication/282421724_The_Association_of_Cognitive_Ability_with_Right-wing_Ideological_Attitudes_and_Prejudice_A_Meta-analytic_Review

Then there's the polling data from the Brexit referendum, which the tree-hugging lefties at the Spectator confirm shows that the stupider you are, the more likely you were to vote for Brexit. Propoganda, maybe?

https://blogs.spectator.co.uk/2017/05/remain-supporters-brighter-brexit-backers/

So, in short, the left consider themselves to be better educated and in some way intellectually superior because they are better educated and intellectually superior, as the science has shown us.

As for "the only people who benefit from a socialist government are the party aparatchiks"...

Surely the citizens of the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway and Belgium that have to suffer the shame and indignity of free education, great healthcare, efficient and cheap public transport, safe streets, solid unemployment insurance, excellent pensions and high-class public services benefit just a tiny, tiny, tiny bit from socialist governments?

As for the party apparatchiks, the income of MPs in all these countries as a ratio to the average national wage is lower than in the UK, where every single member of the current government cabinet is a millionaire.

On the plus side, despite having retarded views on everything political, it could be worse.

You could be Norse.

Ha ha ha, good afternoon Gilles, I thought you were long overdue for an appearance on this thread.

Studies from left wing 'academics' no doubt.

Relying on 'polling data' is always fraught with danger, since most polls turn out to be completely inaccurate (which is probably why they are so beloved of the left).

Just a small point but I think you'll find it's 'propaganda'.

That's the beauty of the scientific method. It matters not a jolt what your ideology is. Measuring the IQ of children and then recording their views as adults will give the same results wherever your allegiances may lie.

Using polling data to predict outcomes and analysing polling data ex-post are completely different fish. There have been numerous sceintific studies, and numerous Brexit voting analyses, and the results are absolutely, unequivocally clear.

Right wingers tend to be simpletons.

I'll see your propaganda, and I'll raise you an apparatchik [;)]

Stop being such a drama queen, kids get a good education here. It would be better without so many trendy left wing educational ideas, but it's good nonetheless.

I admit, it's a pretty unforgivable faux pas on my part and I feel like a right 52%er right now.

Back to the issue at hand though, three things stand out.

Firstly, it's ridiculous to state that free education, good healthcare, good public services and good pensions need a magic money tree when they're the norm across the economically advanced parts of Europe.

Secondly, science has shown us that right-wingers tend to be a bunch of Thicky McThickfaces.

Thirdly, now Penny has put on a load of weight she's almost as ugly on the outside as she is on the inside.
