Doc: I'll bring Emirati talent to Pompey

Pompey's prospective new owner wants to focus on developing Pompey's home-grown talent and he even hopes some players from his native land may come through the ranks.

Reinterating his commitment to completing his deal for the club in the next two to three weeks, Dr Sulaiman Al Fahim said: 'I want to focus on the Portsmouth Academy and the young players.' Article continues here...

He add that he also hoped that 'three or four' players from the United Arab Emirates may play a part in that goal.

With plans to extend Fratton Park to 30,000 and ultimately build a new stadium, once the takeover deal is done it will be exciting times for the club.

However, Dr Al-Fahim's comments suggest that he might night be throwing mega-bucks at star names in the first instance.
