If there is a downside to the UEFA Cup, it's the effect it has on Saturday football.

Pompey have played just two games on Saturdays so far this season - and they won't be playing too many more in the next couple of months.

Their Thursday UEFA Cup ties against SC Braga, AC Milan and Wolfsburg have forced another three Saturday games back 24 hours to the Sundays.

It means home matches against Fulham and Blackburn will now be played on Sunday, October 26 and Sunday November 30 respectively. The Fulham game will kick-off at 4pm with Blackburn beginning at 3pm.

The visit to West Brom will be on Sunday, December 7, kick-off 3pm.

Pompey's fourth UEFA Cup game is on a Wednesday - December 17 - so that shouldn't affect the following weekend's game.

But Pompey’s home match against Newcastle has been moved to accommodate the Sky cameras. It will now be played on Sunday, December 14, kick-off 1.30pm.
