The England Under 21 and former Southampton defender has been a long way from first team action since he made a surprise full debut in August 2007 against Manchester United following his move from Saints

Last season he was loanded out to QPR, but suffered a broken leg, which cut the spell short.Rangers had been keen on getting him back again and Coventry were also interested.

Cranie will join Linvoy Primus, who moved to the Valley until December 1 last week.
