Sulley Muntari could be the subject of a £10m bid from Juventus while Pedro Mendes may be heading back to Portugal.

In the other direction, it seems Peter Crouch's move to Pompey has stepped a tad closer with Liverpool dropping hisprice tag from £15m to £10m.

These are just some of the latest stories doing the rounds as Pompey gear up for a busy summer in the transfer market.

The Italian giants are reported to have been impressed by Muntari's impact on both the Premier League and the African Cup of Nations last season. He played in Italy - with Udinese - before moving to Fratton a year ago.

News that Mendes may be on the way back to Portugal will come as little surprise to Pompey fans - though many will be hoping his surprise call-up to the cup final team helps persuade him he does have a future with the Blues.

Other midfield merry-go-round possibilites include an intriguing one - Sean Davis going to Middlesbrough, with one Gary O'Neil coming in the other direction. The Davis end of that deal seems more likely.

Liverpool may be ready to sell England striker Crouch to Pompey for £10m, not the £15m they initially quoted. Harry Redknapp has already said such a change in valuation would make things interesting.

Redknapp is also said to have contacted Celtic with a £2m offer for defender Lee Naylor, who he was last linked with in the transfer window.
