Fratton Park is two thirds full for next season already.

That's because a record number of supporters have forked out for a season ticket during the early bird period.

A Pompey spokesman said: 'Almost 14,000 supporters have already snapped up their seat – higher than at this stage of any other year since the Blues exited administration.

'They will be hoping to see Kenny Jackett’s side go one step further than last term by securing promotion to the Championship.

'Any season ticket holder who has not renewed their seat will now have it released for general sale. Supporters who have bought or renewed a season ticket but wish to move their seat can do from 9am on Monday, July 1 until 5.30pm on Tuesday, July 2. This can be done in person at the Anson Road ticket office or by calling 0345 646 1898 (option one).

'All unsold seats will then be available to buy on general sale at the full price from 9am on Wednesday, July 3.'
