Pompey have recruited midfielder Therry Racon and goalkeeper Trevor Carson - and both look set to make their debuts against Rochdale at Fratton Park on Saturday.

Frenchman Racon has joined on a one-month deal after several days of training with the Pompey squad.

He played 16 times on loan for the Blues in 2012-13 and failed to find a new club after Millwall released him at the end of the season.

Carson has completed an emergency loan move from Bury, which can last for a maximum of 93 days.

The 25-year-old, who has started all of Bury's last five league games, seems set to remain with Pompey until the beginning of the new year.

His arrival comes after both John Sullivan and Phil Smith have struggled between the posts, but Carson will not be allowed to face Bury when they visit Fratton on October 19.
