Talk of who Pompey will bid to sign in the summer is gathering pace - but fans are more concerned with buying Cup final tickets, not buying players.

Sunday is always the day when names are put in the frame, some old, some new, and this week is no exception.

There's fresh rumours that Harry Redknapp will bid to snap up Peter Crouch from Liverpool at the end of the season, seeing him as the ideal partner for his England squad-mate Jermain Defoe next season.

Crouch has already spoken publicly of his thoughts about leaving Anfield to get more regular football, though Aston Villa and Newcastle are also said to be interested.

It is thought Crouch's previous spell at Pompey, and his time at Southampton under Redknapp, could help swing things the Blues' way.

Pompey are also being linked with a summer move for Spurs defender Younes Kaboul. The Blues were on Kaboul's trail before he came to England and could be tempted again with lack of cover in that position having been a worry all season long.

Some reports say Pompey tried to get Kaboul in January but Spurs wanted Sulley Muntari in return and were told: No way. One to watch once the season is finished, then.

Of more pressing concern to fans is news of how tickets for the Cup final on May 17 are to be distributed.

Details are due out on Monday afternoon of who will get first stab at buying, who comes next and when and how they will go on sale.

Tickets will be £95, £80, £60 and £35 for adults and £85, £70, £50 and £25 for concessions (aged 16 and under and 60 and over).

This website's messageboard is likely to be among the first places where details will be passed on.
