Sulaiman Al Fahim remains 'positive' that his takoever of the club will take place and Peter Storrie, the club's Chief Executive says it could be sooner rather than later.

However, there are still some issues to be resolved on the deal, although its principles have already been agreed and there is no clear timescale for its resolution.

The sister site of truebluearmy.com, pompey-fans.com, obtained an exclusive interview with Ivo Gabara, Al Fahim's only official spokesman, who confirmed the deal would take place.

In a column called The Big Question, Gabara said he was unequivocal that Al fahim was 'psoitive' the deal would take place. For the full interview click here

And Storrie said the takeover could happen as soon as tomorrow, but admitted the timing of the deal's conclusion was out of his hands.Article continues here

'I don't know when the deal will be complete. It's still in negotiations between the two parties. My understanding is it's moving closer and closer to an agreement but it's outside my control,' Storrie told The News.

'My job is to still run this club on a day-to-day basis and make sure I keep this club alive in time for someone to take it over, and that has been my number one priority.

'My role was purely bringing someone to the table. Then it goes between Sacha's trust and Al Fahim. Due diligence is over. That's all done. It's just how long this final point takes,' he said.

'I just cannot tell you whether that's going to be a day, a week or a month. I genuinely don't know.

'It's a longer process than I thought it was going to be, than everybody thought it was going to be, and there are obviously mechanisms and reasons behind that purely between the parties,' he added.
