Pompey have moved to reassure fans that the club's kit and sales of replica tops will be unaffected by the recent news that Canterbury Europe have gone into administration.

Although only some of the stock has been delivered so far, the club are confident they can negotiate access to the remainder with administartors KPMG.

Canterbury Europe Ltd went into administration this week with debts reportedly of £60 million, but the company is continuing to trade while a buyer is sought.

Pompey spokesman Gary Double told footballshirtculture.com: 'All the kit shirts have been already been manufactured.

'Some have been delivered but not all. There's no panic from this end, and we're talking to the administrators.

'Everything's been manufactured for the team and for the supporters, and no-one is going to lose out. The other thing we want to put on there is the shirt sponsor, and that's yet to be decided.'
