Argyle look to get their play-off push back on track against bottom of the table Colchester at Home Park on Tuesday night, but will be wary of opponents who seem to be playing better than their results suggest.

Colchester were everyone's surprise package last season, but they have struggled for goals this season having seen leading striker join Norwich City.

Consequently the Us have frequently matched their more illustrious opponents but ended up out gunned, like they were on saturday in losing 1-0 at home to Wolves where former Argyle favourite Sylvan Ebanks-Blake netted the winner.

Wolves are now breathing down Argyle's necks in the promotion race, so manager Paul Sturrock is looking for a positive reaction after Saturday's shoddy defeat at West BRom.

Sturrock told the Evening Herald: 'We have got two games at home and then Scunthorpe away, which will determine whether we are in the rat race at the end or not.

'I would love to think the players will respond properly, get us the results we need off the two home games and then we will be waiting to see how everybody else does. Hopefully, we will get back into the play-off positions.'

Argyle are expected to be withour the injured Jim Paterson and Mat Doumbe for the game, which should feature a bumper gate after the club allowed season ticket holders to buy tickets for others at a reduced rate.
