Glaswegian Guitarist set for the Green Room

Critically acclaimed Glaswegian guitarist RM Hubbert is performing an intimate set at The Green Room, located with in the Green Dragon Studios, Stockton on Saturday 21 July.

Hubbert is one of Glasgow’s more prolific artists and has released music under a variety of guises since 1993. It was his work on El Hombre Trajeado’s trio of albums that really put him on the musical map.

The work earned him swathes of critical acclaim, three Peel Sessions and support slots with the likes of Nick Cave, Deerhoof, Mùm, Mike Watt and The Delgados.

He has since gone on to release two solo albums working with the likes of Emma Pollock (The Delgados), Luke Sutherland (Mogwai), Aidan Moffat (Arab Strap), Alex Kapranos (Franz Ferdinand) and Alasdair Roberts amongst others.

Support comes from the hotly tipped By Toutatis who take great influence from Northumbrian folk music and will be seen on the Main Stage at this years Stockton Weekender. Also on the bill is acoustic duo Little Mirrors. Tickets are £6 and doors open at 8pm.

Nine Black Alps front man Sam Forrest brings his acoustic pop gems to the intimate setting of The Green Room next Saturday (28 July).
