Independent music promoters Bonus Grooves Ents and rockpig. are delighted to present a very special homecoming headline gig for Moses to mark the 10th anniversary of their debut album 'The Swimming Zoo'. The band will headline this month’s PinDrop event in the new bespoke venue of Flix Movie Cafe on Church Square, Hartlepool on Saturday 14 July.

Moses were (and occasionally are) a cult Alt Folk band fronted by Hartlepool brothers David and Paul Mosley in the early noughties. With hit album releases and previous tours with the likes of Dodgy, Cast, Sam Brown, and, Shane MacGowan (amongst others) saw them develop into a famously crowd pleasing, banter laden live act that won over festival crowds from Glastonbury to Bestival and gained them the Best Live Act Award at the Soho Festival.

Amanda Gallagher of rockpig. said “It’s going to be a great night in a new intimate and lovely venue and we are very excited to have Moses performing back in town…after recently seeing Paul Mosley performing his solo stuff at Willowman last month I think everyone is in for a real treat!”

This fourteenth PinDrop evening will also be home to Jerusalem born Avital Raz, whose beautiful yet dark lyrics and melodies, crossing many genres, make this quirky singer-songwriter truly bewitching. Local support comes from the new and promising Pan & The Dukes, in what will be just their second gig to date.

Brian Barnes of Bonus Grooves Ents said “its new and exciting times at Pindrop HQ with a change of venue to keep our events fresh and bespoke, and with a fantastic line up of the latest emerging talented, an international act AND Moses’ homecoming means this is a night I’m personally really looking forward to”.

Capacity for this gig is only 70 and with such an array of talented acts the night is set to sell out, so it is advisable to buy advanced tickets. This event takes place on Saturday 14 July. Doors 7.30pm. Tickets: £6 advance or £8 on the door. Tickets for all PinDrop nights can be bought in advance from the venue or online at

Artists interested in performing in future PinDrop events can contact promoters Brian Barnes or Amanda Gallagher by emailing PinDrop nights are currently held in Flix Movie Cafe, Church Square, Hartlepool.
