Laugh Out Loud. How many times do I type that on a text without actually meaning it? Last night I laughed out loud for real at Easter Funnies 2. In fact I was thankful for the respite of a break in the middle as I had serious face ache.

Easter Funnies is a collaboration between Writers' Block and ARC Sketch Group where a group of disparate people come together and are guided to write a load of very funny short sketches and put them together into a show. I have been to the past three shows, one a season and they are always a treat. In fact they seem to get better.

Many of this group of people have little or no past performing or writing background. But you would not know it. As the cast changes each time I am always left scratching my head at the amount of incredible talent and disturbing imagination that lurks around us.

Easter Funnies introduced us to the many faces of the world's worst doctor. The comedy one is the worst of all I would agree. The pirates are signing on again, no openings for gold diggers. Perhaps a game of chessling would tickle your fancy, chess with no holds barred wrestling moves. Or how about some mad balloon tomfoolery? They're attempting to clear the Himalayas but something is weighing them down. It was never like this in Jules Verne's book.

There is the punk band singing about Korean despots and Colonel Gaddafi's pies. Or David Cameron the mad scissor happy instigator of cuts with his trusty henchman Big George. The Jazz duo that jazz people to death. And “ Guys.. Guys...” don't you think you are taking this nosy neighbour surveillance thang too seriously.

Hang on I must not give away any of the plots or punchlines. But there is so much going on. It is a pre-Easter comedy feast  Fast paced, zany. Time flies by when your having fun laughing out loud.

Recommended viewing for fans of orang-utans but not the government. Don't get too close though you might just end up in the next show. They're always looking for writers and performers to join them.

Up in the gods of the Studio Theatre in Stockton Arc is where the lol fun is stored away these days. And you have two days left to explore it for yourselves. Easter Funnies 2 Highly recommended by this person.
